Gamers at Work Review

Gamers at Work is a magnificent book full of interviews of many veterans fro the video game industry. Written by Morgan Ramsay, published by Apress and released in 2012, Gamers at Work delves in the lives of people who shaped the industry with good and not so good choices.

Among the interviewees we can find Trip Hawkins who founded the second biggest video games publisher, Electronic Arts but who also came up with the 3DO console concept. Lorne Lanning, founder of Oddworld Inhabitants is also part of this great book as well as Sid Meier, Nolan Bushnell, Warren Spector or many others.

What’s interesting is that the questions are not just scratching the surface of those great designers or entrepreneurs, instead the author chose a right balance between professional and personal life questions that allow us as readers to get to know those illustrious figures of the gaming industry. I love this book and if you love the industry and wanna learn fun trivia you should definitely check it out!
